Personal annotations
Annotations are a way of creating 'shortcuts' to interesting findings in virtual slides. The web atlas features predefined annotations, usually demonstrating diagnostic clues. Besides these 'built-in' annotations you have the option to mark your own
interesting areas in any slide, so that you directly can zoom in to them or show
/send them to a colleague. You can add text and symbols to your annotations.

The annotations and the control
buttons can be found in the right
margin of the viewing window. The
big image shows the annotated area.

The green box in the overview window shows the extent of the annotated area.
All annotations in the current slide are listed here, as clickable links.
When reading an annotation, the text description appears here.

Clicking 'Make annotation' creates the annotation.
A symbol of selectable color and shape can  be added

Your annotations are stored on the server, and if you wish to reload them the
next time you visit the web atlas, you can easily save them by creating a login
bookmark in your browser.
