Tumor micro array (TMA) sample

up one level

Tissue micro array technology is a useful tool in a research setting. Tens or hundreds of cylindrical cores can be punched from original paraffin blocks and placed in one recipient block. Large numbers of tumors can thus easily be analyzed by immunohistochemistry or in situ hybridization. One tumor can be represented by one or several tissue cores in the tissue micro array block.
