A branching epithelial tumor originating from the wall of the mammary duct. Consists of fibrovascular stroma and epithelium with inner myoepithelial and outer columnar epithelial cell layer. The epithelium may show hyperplasia, but mitotic figures are uncommon. No epithelial atypia or dysplasia.
