Leukemia

up one level

Leukemic infiltrate (also termed granulocytic sarcoma, chloroma) is a rare breast tumor composed of aggregates of immature granulocytic precursors. The lesion generally occurs during the course of acute myelogenous leukemia.. Histologically it presents with a diffuse growth pattern, with focal cord-like arrangement. Immunohistochemical stains for myeloperoxidase, CD43 and CD68 are often needed in the differential diagnostics.
