Quickstart tutorial (1/8) - Your computer

Should be a modern computer. If you have an older computer (~<1GHz)
and some functions seem to be slow, you could reduce the size of the
view window.

The streaming mode of viewing slides will run on a computer with

Windows
98/ME/2000/XP
or Vista.

For slides with multiple layers (focusing, stainings etc), we recommend a
fast computer (any Dual Core processor, or ~3 GHz single CPU).

The image quality is highly dependent on your monitor. The size of the
default viewer window is designed to fit a 1024 x 768 pix desktop
resolution. The viewing experience will will however be much better
at higher resolutions.

We recommend at least a 19" monitor with a 1280 x 1024
true color resolution and up.
