Quickstart tutorial (8/8) - How to make a jpg snapshot

By clicking the 'Snapshot' button up in the right corner of the viewer window, you can easily and very quickly create jpg images from any area in a virtual slide.

Note that this is a more sophisticated tool than just an ordinary screenshot, as you can:

   - Create images of up to 4000 x 4000 pixels
   - Set the exact size of the image
   - Set the jpg quality (compression level)

Snapshot Button

When you click the button, a dialog will appear in the right margin, where you can set either the width or the height of the jpg image. If you choose width, the height will be set proportionally, and vice versa. You can also set the jpg image quality (100=best).

To create your snapshot, navigate and zoom into the area you wish in the main window, and click the 'Create Image' button. Your image will then appear below the dialog. Note that it is shrinked to fit in the margin. To save it to your own computer, right-click it and select 'Save picture as' with the mouse.
