79 F. Nausea and vomiting. Serum transamine levels (ASAT,ALAT) were high, > 1500 U/l.
  
  Reactive changes due to excess use of paracetamol (=acetaminophen) 
  Discussion: The patient had problems with memory, concerning also medication. Misuse of paracetamol was considered probable. The histological findings in coarse needle biopsy were not inconsistent with the excess use of this drug. Serum transaminase levels became normal during a week after hospitalization and withdrawal of the drug.
