73 F. Diagnosed with a large B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma 2 years earlier. Now hospitalized with feaver, confusion and lowered consciousness. Not responding to antibiotics. Autopsy specimen from cerebellar and cerebral cortex.

84 F. Hospitalized from nursing home because of confusion and fever. Severely hyponatremic, developed pneumonia, and subsequently hydrocephalus. Clinically suspected disseminated pulmonary carcinoma with meningeal metastasing. Autopsy specimen from brain base including optic chiasm and infundibulum.
